There are perfect conditions for cross-country skiers to indulge in their favourite hobby on the glacier from early autumn through to early summer. The 3 km Loipe (prepared for both classic and skating) at 2900 m above sea level provides snow-sure conditions, and also has all the advantages of high altitude training. There are ski hire and cross-country ski service facilities on site. The high attitude Loipe on the Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See offers an alternative for winter holidaymakers.
